ITO Bindery

I first came across Ito Bindery through a simplistic, yet striking photo of their drawing pads on the vast landscape of the internet. So taken by the appearance of these minimal pads I investigated further and found that each one is handmade by a team of 6 men out of their bookbinding factory in Tokyo, Japan. The company began as a notebook bindery plant named “Hakucho-Do” in 1938. Since then they have evolved to what we know them as today, ITO Bindery - still upholding their original values of handmade quality and craftsmanship. In 2010 they received a highly acclaimed Good Design award for their Memo Blocks and Drawing Pads.
